What a lapsed agent costs instead: a Utah LLC without a registered agent for 60 consecutive days faces administrative dissolution (Utah Code § 48-3a-708); a corporation, after just 30 days (Utah Code § 16-10a-1420). Reinstatement runs $54 plus everything owed in between. Cheaper to have an agent who doesn’t disappear.
